Tellurite, tellurium oxide TeO₂, is a rare secondary mineral formed by oxidation of native tellurium in air. Its brilliant lemon-yellow crusts are characteristic. Tellurium is named after Tellus, Roman goddess of Earth. Found at Cripple Creek and Romania.
