Grossular is a garnet species existing in several precious varieties: Tsavorite (intense green, Kenya-Tanzania, more precious than emerald per some gemologists), Hessonite (cinnamon orange, Sri Lanka) and Leucogarnet (colorless). Each variety has specific properties.
